Our biggest fundraising activity is our Wishing Will Scheme which sees us partner with firms of qualified Solicitors to provide individuals with expertly drafted Wills. The fees for preparing the Wills are given to The Wishing Will Foundation for us to make grants to the Charities.

The Scheme operates all year round and is available to those using the services of our partnered charities, care homes and will soon be open to the general public too.

We have teamed up with local leading solicitors to create the Wishing Will Scheme; which provides professionally drafted, quality Wills in exchange for their fee costs being donated to The Wishing Will Foundation.

The Wishing Will Scheme is currently available to those resident or receiving care through a hospice or care home, or individuals using the services of one the existing charities we support.

Hospices

If you heard about The Wishing Will Foundation through one of our partnered hospices that are supporting you through an illness, then a specialist Solicitor will attend the hospice for an initial appointment to take instructions from you.

Instead of paying the Solicitor to prepare the Will, you will be invited to make a minimum bequest in your Will equal to, or in excess of, the Solicitor’s usual fees (£250.00 for Individual Wills).

At least 90% of your payment will go back to your hospice.

The Solicitor will then send you your draft Will and detailed letter of advice for your consideration.

Once the Will is approved by you, the Solicitor will meet with you again to sign the Will.

Local Charities

Instead of paying the Solicitor to prepare the Will, you will be invited to make a one-off payment to The Wishing Will Foundation equal to, or in excess of, the Solicitor’s usual fees (£250.00 for Individual Wills).

Other Individuals

Thanks to the continued growth and success of the Wishing Will Scheme and its partership with other Charities we are delighted to now be able to offer this service to the general public.

This operates in a similar way as with care home residents in that individuals are invited to make a minimum donation equal to, or in excess of, their Solicitor’s usual fees (£250.00 for Individual Wills) to The Wishing Will Foundation upon completion of the Will.
